My Lush Top 5

Thursday, 17 September 2015

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know the struggles I have had with my skin and finding the right skincare products to control my breakouts. I'm the type of person who will have a bath mid July in 30 degree heat so I am a massive Lush lover. However, despite my love for their never ending bath products and shower gels I had never really delved into the Lush skincare range until I picked up Cosmetic Warrior, a fresh face mask made from garlic, green grapes, tea tree oil and honey, on a whim and it quite literally changed my skincare life. Since then I have been obsessed with going into every Lush I pass and trying out every skincare product in store on the back of my hand.
It can be scary walking into Lush as there is hundreds of products that all do completely different things so I have put together my top products that may help you out if your skin is anything like mine.

Cosmetic Warrior

Okay, so I could rave about this product forever so I will make it short and sweet. This is a fresh facemask so does have a short expiry date however more than enough comes in the little black pot that I find myself being able to pile this on a few times a week for a little pick-me-up. It contains antibacterial tea tree and fresh garlic which is used to cleanse the skin, fresh green grapes that clean and cool, free range eggs which tighten the texture of the skin and honey which moisturises. As you can probably tell by the ingredients it isn't the greatest smelling Lush product but the outcome is amazing! My skin has never felt so soft and clean and reduces redness and size of blemishes almost instantly.

Tea Tree Water

I have never found a toner that I like. They leave my skin feeling tight and dull. Again, another product I bought on a whim after testing it out in store. I have been using another cream with benzoyl peroxide in so my skin is looking a bit lifeless at the minute, however this has been giving it the most it needs. The antibacterial qualities combat blemishes, clean your skin and give you that refresh you need throughout the day. I use this once in the morning and in the evening when I have cleansed my skin.

Enchanted Eye Cream

The cream I have been using that contain benzoyl peroxide has been leaving my skin feeling dry, despite trying not to get it anywhere near my eyes, the skin around them has been really dry and sore. I purchased this after reading that its a gentle eye cream for delicate skin, which is exactly how my eyes felt. I get quite bad bags under my eyes but have given up trying to battle them, however I have not only noticed my skin around my eyes feeling refreshed and moisturised but the bags under my eyes have gone!
Bubblegum Lip Scrub

An oldie but still a goodie. Everyones favourite lip scrub still holds a special place in my makeup bag. It is the perfect scrub to prep your lips for lipstick days or exfoliating them before you go to sleep.
The Comforter

What is a Lush top picks without bath products! This is my favourite Lush scent and leaves my bath looking super pretty. I also find the bubble bar's last forever so its a really good value for money.
