Cheek routine

Recently I've had a load of comments and messages regarding the highlighters, blush, foundation etc I've been using so I've decided to write a post on it so I can show you all exactly which products I use on a day to day basis, how I apply them and other alternatives! I'll leave a link to each item at the bottom so if you want to have a closer look or buy them then it's super easy!

(Just a disclaimer. I am by no means a makeup artist or intend to be one. I just love doing my makeup and know how I like it.)

Step 1:
After washing and moisturising my skin with Cetaphil I will apply either Bobbi Brown Skin in warm ivory or if Im having a good skin day I will use Mac prep + prime BB cream in extra light with my favourite foundation brush, Sephora pro flawless airbrush 56. Light foundations sit better on my skin so these are a dream for me. A cheaper alternative would be Rimmel's Wake me Up foundation. I will then set this with Rimmel Stay Matte in transparent with a big fluffy Vintage cosmetics brush.

Step 2:
After applying my foundation I will apply either Boujois' powder delice de poudre or my all time favourite Benefit Hoola bronzer to give myself a bit of a glow. I prefer matte bronzers as I like to go hard with the highlighter! I struggle with bronzers as I'm super pale and often find they look orange or yellow on my skins, whereas these two products come out a really subtle bronze shade.

Step 3:
I will then apply a blusher with an angled Mac brush which I find is the perfect size to sweep across my cheek. My favourite ever blusher is Mac mineralise blush in Just a Wisp which I would normally use every day. However I do sometimes use Soap & Glory Love at First Blush which I find gives a really similar finish just slightly warmer or bare minerals i.d. in Exhilarate if I want a more rouge cheek. If you wanted an alternative I'd say Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in Rose would be a good high end alternative and Collection Gorgeous Glow for a cheaper option.

Step 4:
Now for my favourite step... highlighter! For this my two holy grail products are Mac Lightscapade and Topshop Glow in Polished. I prefer to go for the more white tinted products as I am very pale and find more golden ones don't suit my skin tone as well.

And thats my routine done!
